Task:
Assessment of the technical risks for the construction of a miniaturized measuring diagnostic system with the aid of optical simulation and the construction of a rudimentary demonstrator. The measurement is performed in a very small space of the oral cavity of a premature infant or baby of approx. 20x20x20mm and may only be minimally invasive. The aim is to lay the foundation for industrial product development
Project:
The goal of the project was to measure cleft palate of babys and permatures. The measurement system is based in triangulation combined with endoscope technologies with the goal to introduce a new measurement system (schullerbasiertes) as a medical product to support doctors and hospital for non-invasive testing. The industrial projet partner zünd is currently evaluating partners for a dedicated product developement.
Project Partners:
• OST-IMP, Machine Vision Group
• OST-IMP, Optics and Optics Manufacturing Group
• Feinwerkoptik Zünd
• Ostschweizer Kinderspital
